Donation to the Benaki Museum, Athens by ART for The World, the collection of models of playgrounds and toys.
ART for The World is proud to announce the donation of its unique collection of Playgrounds & Toys to the prestigious Benaki Museum. The collection started in 2000, includes more than 50 models and drawings of playgrounds by renowned contemporary artists and architects, from various continents and generations. Launched for the 50th Anniversary of UNHCR, since then Playgrounds & Toys project emphasized the importance of play in fostering social bonds, rebuilding trust, and promoting inclusivity.
The Benaki Museum will host the exhibition of this donation at the PIREOS 138 on October 29, 2025. This donation represents an addition to the Benaki’s unvaluable collections and highlights the significant and enduring power of art to create connections across generations and cultures.
